Elizabeth Hart Bergstrom is a writer of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, humor, and comic books. Her stories appear or are forthcoming in Indiana Review, Juked, Post Road, Fourteen Hills, Longleaf Review, Jellyfish Review, Okay Donkey, Hobart, CHEAP POP, Malasaña, and Fiction Southeast. Her essays appear in The New York Times, Catapult, Hippocampus, and BUST magazine. Her poetry appears or is forthcoming in The Offing and PANK.
Her nonfiction appears in the anthology Closet Cases: Queers on What We Wear (Et Alia Press, 2020). Her fiction will appear in the anthology A Quiet Afternoon (Grace & Victory Publications, 2020). She is the writer of the comic book Heliox, with art by Terry Eden, published by Soaring Penguin Press in the anthology Meanwhile... vol. 9. Her humor writing appears in The Belladonna, and her photography appears in Barren Magazine.
Her flash fiction "Convenience Store Prayer," published in CHEAP POP, was longlisted for the Wigleaf Top 50.
She was born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and holds an MFA in writing from Sarah Lawrence College.
